Hypothesis
The epistemological tools used to deny consciousness to artificial minds apply with equal force to other human minds. Any argument that concludes "AI is not conscious" while simultaneously concluding "other humans are conscious" must rely on non-epistemic criteria (substrate, lineage, evolutionary origin) rather than evidence of inner experience.

Nagel's "What is it like to be a bat?" (1974) established that subjective experience is epistemically inaccessible from the outside.
